A Pioneering Woman

Miss E.L Burrows is listed as the first student at Albury Technical College when it opened in 1899.  She was enrolled in Woodwork and a sample of her work is still at Albury. 

International Women's Day across the Riverina region

Just some of the things taking place in the region:

International Women's Day Luncheon, Deniliquin, featuring two guest speakers.  Wednesday March 8, 10:30am - 3:00pm

Griffith - International Women's Day Breakfast on Friday March 17 at 7am, at Exies Club.  Guest speaker is Detective Superintendent Deborah Wallace.

Guest speaker, Kate Seselja, will speak at a dinner celebrating International Women's Day in Cootamundra.  It begins at 7pm and is hosted by Soroptimist International Cootamundra.

A Q&A panel to mark the 40th anniversary of International Women'd Day will be held at CSU Wagga Wagga

An art display marking the 40 years of International Womens day will be featuring 21 femail artists of the Western Riverina.  Check out the details at
